Who builds KanuniLabs
KanuniLabs is a small independent software company. It makes two components for React and plain JavaScript, a pivot table and a data grid, and they are the whole business.
The name you will see elsewhere
On Stack Overflow, Hashnode and other developer sites, KanuniLabs answers and writes under the name Serdar Bayatlıca. That is a pen name. The person behind it keeps their private life apart from the company, and the name stays the same on every site, so you can tell it is us.
How long it has been around
The pivot table has been on npm since July 2026 and the data grid since August 2026. Every release since then, with what changed and why, is in the changelog.
How the claims on this site are checked
Every speed on this site comes with a page that measures it in your own browser: the benchmarks on a million rows, and the pivot demo, which times each recompute and shows the longest pause on the page. When the measurement is bad, the page says so.
The packages are covered by 3,740 test cases in 373 files, counted from the repository when this site is built. When writing an article turns up a bug, the article says what it was and, once the fix is out, which release has it.
If you build on it
- The free edition has no key and no end date. Its licence allows commercial use, and nothing in it expires.
- A paid licence does not switch anything off when it ends. Versions released while it was active stay licensed, and applications you shipped with them keep running without a watermark.
- There is no licence server. A key is checked in the browser against a public key compiled into the package. By default nothing calls our servers, so an application you shipped would not notice if we were gone.
The exact terms are in the terms of service and on the pricing page.
